The E-Learning Competence Center (ELCC) is organizing a one-day-symposium as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week on November 7th at the Smart Village Convention Center to showcase and present the possible uses of the new and most promising Web 2.0 and Social Media networks to empower entrepreneurs.
Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology will be giving the opening speech in the symposium along with Mr. Steven R. Koltai, Senior Advisor for Entrepreneurship at the U.S Department of State, Dr. Tarek El-Sadany, CEO, Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Mr. Yasser Kazem, Director of the E-Learning Competence Center.
“Entrepreneurship Empowerment Symposium: Education Technology and Innovation for Entrepreneurship Empowerment” will bring together IT innovators, leading educators and technology and creativity entrepreneurs from all over to share a wealth of knowledge and experience on how to leverage education technology (e-Learning, Online Learning, Video Learning, Mobile Learning) and Social Media / Web 2.0 to educate, train, connect, inspire and empower entrepreneurs and the business community in the region.
The symposium will foster a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the current innovative educational approaches and creative solutions that help develop entrepreneurial skills and facilitate the creation of new ventures and develop the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem.
You will learn best practices of entrepreneurship education initiatives and successful ventures started up by aspiring entrepreneurs using the Social Media and Web 2.0.
This event will also shed light on the power of innovative e-Learning and Web technology in integrating youth with disabilities in entrepreneurship mainstream programs.
An interactive workshop on “Social Media for Entrepreneurs” will be held during the symposium by a leading the Social Media firm “Interact”.
The workshop is designed to deliver immediate value on how to leverage the newest and most promising social media platforms such as the Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube for the success of your company, so you’ll be sure to leave with take-away lessons that you can implement immediately to create extraordinary Social Media communications that will boost your company’s employee engagement, market share and corporate reputation. It will also allow you to interact and network with like-minded entrepreneurs and executives, brainstorm and have your questions answered.
The ELCC have participated in the opening festival of the Global Entrepreneurship week with a booth that offered visitors free trials of its e-Learning courses. The Center also had an awareness session on the benefits of the use of Social Media networks in business.
On the occasion of the symposium and the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the ELCC is opening its Green ICT course exclusively for all participants. All participants can link to ELCC’s e-Learning library http://www.elcc.gov.eg/Pages/16_eLibrary/Default.aspx and learn for free the basic principles of Green ICT and strategies and tactics on how to Green up their IT operations and the whole work processes.
The course targets all corporate employees at all levels and in all functions.
With the aim of raising awareness on the value of leveraging different Social Media networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter …etc) for businesses, the E-Learning Competence Center, Jointly with Interact Egypt, is developing a training program designed to help entrepreneurs, business executives and technical professionals to build, maintain and enhance their online presence, generate online traffic and streamline their online marketing, advertising and public relations efforts.
The training program “Web Communications for Business” is designed for all entrepreneurs, corporate communications and Public Relations executives, sales and marketing executives, customer service executives, e-marketing executives, Web masters and content producers and web architects and designers.
