April 19,2010

The E-Learning Competence Center (ELCC) received Cisco Networking Academy’s “Large Scale Deployment Award 2010” in recognition of the Center’s large scale deployment of its National Delivery Network for e-learning in the Middle East and Africa 2010.

The award was honored to Mr. Yasser Kazem, ELCC director in Cisco Academy annual conference for the Middle East and North Africa, held in Lebanon on 17th and 18th of April 2010.

ELCC received this award in recognition of its scalable, innovative and impactful use of technology in education and for establishing the largest network of 700 academies spread all over Egypt and delivering training courses for almost 60,000 trainees and 3,000 instructors and administrative assistants.

Mr. Kazem pointed out that this award is the result of ELCC contributions as one of three regional training centers affiliated to Cisco Academy programs in the region reflecting the Center’s underlying strategy to maximize and optimize the use of Information Technology Clubs in Egypt.

Mr. Bill Souders, senior director for corporate affairs, Cisco Networking Academy, mentioned that ELCC’s academies represent 10% of total Cisco Networking Academies around the globe, setting an international example of wide-access, quality and sustainable model that have effectively achieved the strategic targets of the Cisco Networking Academy Program in Egypt.

ELCC’s National Delivery Network represents an outlet for the delivery of e-learning programs and digital content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training, support and preparation for industry standard certifications.
